Aftershock

Today I’ve mostly been playing with my old Shaman. He was the first character I got to 60 and the one I’ve been raiding the most with in the “old world”. It felt very nice to wipe the dust of him and take the old fellow out for a run. Did some quests in Hellfire Penninsula and tried out a maximum-dps enchantmentspecc.

Even without my totems out (stuff dies so fast there’s no point in putting them up) he’s going through the mobs like a hot knife through butter. I might start playing with him a lot more in the future, if I can find the time.

A full time job, relationship and a large circle of friends leave precious little time for gaming. Especially when you’re like me and have several characters going, when in truth you should be concentrating in getting better gear for the main.

I helped out my old shaman Class Leader with a quest today. He needed a dps for the Black Morass part of the Karazhan key quest, and asked if I could bring my shadow priest.

Now, I hate Black Morass. I spent a LOT of time there while I tried to get my own key. Tried both full guild groups and pickup-groups with completely insane combinations of classes. Nothing worked. Eventually we made it by just grinding the damn thing four or five times in a row, and finally we completed it.

But this has left me with a rather large debt when it comes to that instance. So I’ve promised myself that if anyone asks for my help in that quest, and I’m not doing anything terribly important, I’ll help.

And when my old CL asks, there’s not much else to do than do grab the old shadowgear and head into the swamp, guns blazing (or is that Mindblasting?) We failed once but got it on the second try. Mostly due to people forgetting chrono-beacons and the dps beeing a little slow. My fault there. I reinstalled World of Warcraft a little while ago and haven’t gotten around to download my addons. Nor did I have my macros ready. So things didn’t go as smoothly as it usually does.

Mind Flay wasn’t even on my action bar when I entered the instance…
